Frequently Asked Questions

How is the sealing schedule determined?

Please note that our service is weather dependent. Any rain will delay or timeline for the week or for the day. Because of this, we’ll contact you 48 hours before we plan to arrive, so please check your email/voicemail or text. Scheduling is based on your location and the date you approved the estimate, aiming to efficiently service neighborhoods.

Can I choose a specific date for sealing?

Due to weather variability and our route optimization based on town and workload, we can’t guarantee specific dates. We can, however, note any dates after which you’d prefer the service to be done.

What if it rains on the scheduled sealing day?

We’re skilled at handling Rochester’s unpredictable weather and will reschedule if rain threatens to affect the sealant’s quality. If rain occurs after the first 1-2 hours post-application, it typically doesn’t harm the sealant. However, for our fellow Rochesterians, we’ll happily provide touch-ups or reseal if necessary.

How often should driveways be sealcoated?

The ideal frequency for sealcoating depends on several factors, including weather exposure, the amount of traffic, and the current condition of the asphalt. Generally, we advise a sealcoat every two years to maintain optimal driveway health. Don’t worry; we’ll send you a reminder when it’s time!

When can a new driveway be sealcoated?

A new driveway should settle and fully cure for 12 months before applying sealcoat to ensure the best results and adherence of the product.

What’s the wait time before using a newly sealed driveway?

We recommend waiting at least 48 hours before driving on a newly sealed driveway. Walking is okay after 24 hours. Keep in mind, drying and curing times can vary with temperature, humidity, and sunlight. Full curing, which strengthens the asphalt, takes about six weeks.

How should I prepare my driveway for sealing?

Please remove all vehicles by 8am on the day of sealing. Ensure your sprinkler system is off, and if possible, reschedule any landscaping work to avoid interference with the sealing process.

Will I know when the crew will arrive?

Yes, we provide a time window (e.g., 8-12 or 12-5) and strive to accommodate preferences within our daily route’s efficiency.

Does your service include new driveway installations or top coats?

Currently, we specialize in sealcoating, crack filling, and minor repairs, focusing on what we do best.

What’s the cost of sealcoating and crack filling?

Pricing is unique to each project, based on driveway size and the extent of crack damage. First-time sealant applications on new driveways may cost more due to the asphalt’s absorbency.

What discounts are available?

We offer a 10% discount for veterans and senior citizens, plus group rates for parties of six or more.

What are the payment options?

We strive to make our payment process as easy and convenient as possible for you. That’s why we accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Additionally, we welcome ACH payments for those who prefer to use direct bank transfers. All of our transactions are securely processed through Jobber Payments, ensuring both safety and efficiency. If you have any questions about your payment options or how to complete your transaction, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Payment of the remaining balance is due after service completion, with electronic invoices sent upon completion.

How do I arrange group or neighborhood services?

Designate a point person to coordinate the group (minimum of 5). This person will gather all necessary addresses for accurate estimating. Services must be rendered on the same day for group rate eligibility.

Is there a minimum charge for projects?

Yes, our services start at a minimum charge of $140.
